Hello fellow warlocks! Today I would like to introduce you to my next game: OLD GOLDEN SKULL!
In this letter, I will give you a brief look at my upcoming RPG, talking about its lore and some of its mechanics!

WHAT IS OLD GOLDEN SKULL?
Old Golden Skull is my next TTRPG, which will crowdfund on Kickstarter soon here.
Itβs a βNobledark Fantasyβ RPG where you and your friends play as the Uncorrupted; heroes (and anti-heroes) living broken tales in the Ravaged Lands. In this rules-light game, you will face the constant menace of the Three Gods of Despair. But, through the nobility of your willpower, and maybe even with faith in the Old Golden Skull, you will take the fight to their field this time.
If you enjoy Berserk, Warhammer Fantasy, Dark Souls, The Witcher, and Lord of the Rings book series, or any other work of art with a dark world where fate can be changed by individuals with tremendous willpower, I think you will enjoy this!

THE WORLD OF OLD GOLDEN SKULL
β"Itβs been 1000 years since the three Gods of Despair landed on our Ravaged Lands.
They brought famine, plague, and mad conflict with them, corrupting our once beautiful home.
But the Old Golden Skull still protects us.
Still the light is dim, and the corruption grows strong.
To be an Uncorrupted today is to live in a harsh and cruel world, struggling against death and wickedness, while the three gods laugh at our fates.
Yet companies of brave souls still storm underground fortresses, dungeons, and castles belonging to our hated arch-nemeses.
And yet hope in our hearts simply refuses to die."
This is the intro you will find on the first pages of Old Golden Skull, and I think it paints a bleak picture of the world of the Ravaged Lands.
Here, the Gods of Despair have maimed the very soil you walk on. The only light is the faith in the Old Golden Skull, the benign entity who has been guiding the Uncorrupted for centuries of oppression, by the hand of the Gods of Despair.
Now itβs time to reclaim your lands.
Form a company of Uncorrupted, and liberate the Ravaged Lands, from each dungeon to each castle.
A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF GAMEPLAY
Old Golden Skull is based on a new game system, designed by yours truly! It uses all the classic dice in the d20 set, but with a small twist: the majority of checks are made with a d12 this time! This works on a βequal or higher" check system, that will speed up considerably gameplay.
OGS in fact is designed to be very quick in gameplay, to favor narrative. You could say that Old Golden Skull is under the OSR/NSR philosophy of gameplay, which favors exploration, narrative, and rulings over rules.
I will be joined again by V.A. Mitio, Martina Chilardi, and Emanuele Parascandolo, the artists that worked with me on MEKKAKONKRETE, STRIGA, and HELLGREEN. They have done a lot of artworks for this game, so get ready!
I would like to share more on classes, backgrounds, and the Companies system, but I will leave this for a future update!
