Greetings fellow wizards! In the previous entry of the Tome of Oddz, we discussed the games of 2024, which was a very good year for tabletop stuff.
However, it is time to look forward: what can we expect from 2025?
Dungeon Bound - by Fari RPGs
Since in the previous article we cited “Songs and Sagas”, how could I not mention today FariRPGs’ upcoming game “Dungeon Bound”?
Dungeon Bound is an OSR-Inspired game where you play as adventurers trapped in a corrupted forest. You’ll have to make your way through loads of monsters and traps, traversing the oily roots of this cursed place.
So, if you ever thought “What would happen if Diablo and Annihilation had a baby?”, here’s your answer: it’s Dungeon Bound.
The game also comes with a printer-friendly version to use when you play around the table, which is super helpful if you are PDF hoarder like me.

HEDGE - by A Couple of Drakes
That’s it folks, the Fey have won. We are now in a post-fall world, and the only thing we can do, to cite Sabaton’s song, is to Resist and Bite.
These are the premises of power fantasy RPG “HEDGE” by A Couple of Drakes, and you only have to take a look at the artstyle to know that when they said “power fantasy” they really meant it.
The artworks by Rosario Mendez really depict a beautiful world where the last bastions of humanity face against the worst nightmares coming out of dark fairytales.
HEDGE doesn’t just have the strength of a very fleshed out setting, it also has a narrative approach capable of bringing you inside its world in mere minutes, and it’s all thanks to both the art and writing.
The game was successfully funded on Kickstarter, and it’s expected to release in 2025. Meanwhile though, you can punch some fey with their free HEDGE quickstart zines.
TRENCH CRUSADE - by Factory Fortress INC
Well, if I didn’t mention Trench Crusade in this article, I would probably lose my wargamer license.
And it’s not surprising. This beautiful wargame raised over 3 million dollars on Kickstarter, and was made by Tuomas Pirinen (author of Mordheim and many other games) and artist Mike Franchina (who worked on the Diablo video game), and many other incredible artists.
The result is the grimmest of grimdark war games, set in an alternative timeline where we unleashed hell during World War 1. I mean literally hell, with demons and all.
This skirmish game looks gritty and very inspired, and most importantly both the rules and models are fantastic.
And if that wasn’t enough, the game is miniature agnostic, which means you can use models from whatever manifacturer you want, including 3d printed.
The game is set to release around June if I’m not mistaken, but you can read the rules and the lore primer right now!
There you go, three tabletop games to look forward in 2025. There are many more I surely left behind, so 2025 is going to be absolutely jam packed with great titles to play! We’ll dive more into these games in the next year!
