Hello fellow wizards!
We are knee-deep into Zine Month 2024, and there are some super duper great projects crowdfunding right now! From manga-inspired OSR, to skeleton punk, there’s a jungle of RPGs and supplements, so let me guide you through the vines of tabletop goodness. Let’s dive right into it, my dear bathroom-reading warlocks!
Coffee Run: A Misadventure
This game by Vitali Demura has basically all things that represent my spirit in it: Punk, and Skeletons.
In this punk art gem you’ll play as punk skeleton trooper, you will be attaching to your skeleton different body parts, and explore cool places like “THE WILD” and the “Love Machine House”.
I love it because… it reminds me of the punk culture that generated the zine format, and for its unforgiving artstyle.

Time to go down the sewers where we belong, because the next game is “Ratcatcher” by Andy Hand.
This RPG is a trip down the sewers below the city of Merestal, a corrupted city where diseases and dark magic are daily businesses.
Don’t tell me I didn’t warn you about eating that bread you found in that manhole...
I love it because... I love dark fantasy RPGs like this one, where you have an easy-to-play rule set, packed with a setting where surviving for another day is a big victory.

I have been on a binge for mangas like Frieren and Dungeon Meshi, and “Oops! The heroes are dead!” really scratches that itch.
Created by fellow italian compatriots, the creative collective “Little Lab”, this RPG doesn’t shy away from its influences, instead it wears them like an armor.
This game will blend an OSR feeling with a fantasy manga style, played with a handful of d10 dice.
I love it because… I am currently sitting next to a pile of Frieren mangas. Do I have to tell you more? I’m all in for it.

Now this one is a toolbox you don’t wanna miss.
Random Realities by Cezar Capacle is a 36 page zine that lets you generate entire worlds for your solo RPGs.
And in my humble opinion, this zine is also great for any Dungeon Masters, worldbuilders, and even game designers out there! You can use this to generate quests, locations, characters, and creatures for your world with a single page flip or click!
I love it because… playing solo RPGs can become even more immersive with this book, and it could take even your D&D game to a next level. Also, Cezar Capacle is a very talented designer, and I encourage you to check out his other games too!

For this ZineMonth, Oddgob Games and Stillfleet Studio have crafted a spectacular game called Blister Critters.
This game is doing really well on crowdfunding and it’s no surprise why; you play as a small animal that can weild mutations, physics-bending powers, and weapons.
If you loved games like Sly Raccoon, and watched movies like Over the Hedge, you will love this game.
I love it because… games where you play as small animals are my jam, and the art by Tony from Oddgob Games is always top notch stuff!

Well, that’s it for today!
